a flash fire in the forest city

a quarter million strangers

walking in a filthy sidewalk maze

peppered with their litter, graffiti, spit, cum, blood, and cigarette butts

people vacuuming their dumpy shoebox apartments

they all blame each other for their own troubles, their homemade problems

the ugly populace, getting bigger and more swollen with infection

like a virus that will ultimately and without fail

eat itself to death

knowing all this to be true, how do you make your way through the world sober?

when the crows scream

the morning, she’s kissing my eyelids, my ego-face melts off

dancing and bleeding into an eternal rhythm

we stick needles in our arms, in a vulgar attempt at

feeling that forever song

watchin them christian zombies, waiting out the clock, wasting their time

i’d wager my life to meet the eldritch horrors, of infinity

i’d kill you to sleep

i’d eat you to survive

kickin the earth out from beneath my feat

3 hours later, gettin dragged by my neck

for 99 miles

through ice cold gravel
